Where the Rrrumbas Rule all secrets in Super Mario Bros. Wonder

Watch for rolling rocks

Where the Rrrumbas Rule is an unassuming looking level in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. It’s one of the first levels you’ll see in World 6, and its challenges look fairly straightforward at a glance. However, earning that check mark on the level in your course list will take you at least two runs.

That’s right, Where the Rrrumbas Rule does, indeed, contain a secret exit for you to find. Most of this level revolves around using the Drill power-up, but those will fortunately appear throughout the level. You can use the All Drill Power Badge here, but that’s not quite necessary as long as you play carefully. Here’s how to find everything in Where the Rrrumbas Rule.

Where the Rrrumbas Rule — 10-Flower Coin 1

You’ll spot the first 10-Flower Coin under a bridge near the beginning of the level. While your first instinct here would be to Ground Pound the blocks in front of the coin, that won’t work here. You’ll find yourself interrupted by a coin block if you do, which you can’t otherwise smash. Even knocking down the pillars above you won’t quite do the trick.

There are two ways to get this coin. The first, and easiest, involves simply using the Drill form. Dig into the ground by using a Ground Pound (jump up and press down + Y), and you can freely slide underneath the blocks. Jump out of the ground once you’re under the bridge, and the coin will be yours.

Alternatively, if you lack the Drill form, you can also goad this Rrrumba to the right of the coin to roll through the blocks. Just keep standing in front of it until it rolls towards you, and jump out of the way so you don’t get hit. Repeat this until it slams through the blocks. This is more time consuming to pull off, but it at least don’t require any power-ups to perform.

The Elephant form technically works here as well. However, since you’ll need to be in Drill form for the rest of the level, going out of your way to enter with that power-up is generally unnecessary.

This 10-Flower Coin definitely requires the Drill form. Shortly after you find the first 10-Flower Coin, you’ll see a Tulip hanging out above a row of Spinies. You can easily bypass the Spinies by digging into the ground and sneaking by them. Climb up the ramp to the right of the Tulip, push the pillar over, and jump 🐼up to where the Tulip is.

Once you pass through the Tulip, you’ll see a line of coins mysteriously leading upwards on the roof above you. If you have the Drill form active, jump up to dig into the roof, and follow the line of coins leading left. Keep moving, and you’ll find yourself in a secret area.

Follow the path of coins and jump down from the roof to grab the second 10-Flower Coin. Don’t worry, this pit will just lead you back into the level.

The third and final 10-Flower Coin once again requires use of the Drill power-up. You’ll eventually come across a mysterious pipe, blocked off by both a series of pillars and breakable blocks. You can’t push the pillars from the angle they’re at, so you have to – you guessed it – dig to get by the blocks instead.

Jump up to dig into the roof, and you’ll pass through the blocks easily.

Once you’re on the other side, push the pillars over to unblock the entrance to the pipe. Jump down and enter the pipe, which will lead to another secret area.

Unfortunately, your work isn’t quite done yet. Actually grabbing the 10-Flower Coin requires some fancy footwork if you don’t want to wind up in the lava. The most straightforward way to grab this is to cling to the edge of one of the walls, let yourself slide down a bit, and then jump off. Alternatively, Badges like the Grappling Vine or Boosting Spin Jump can help you obtain this 10-Flower Coin too. 🌸Those are both already some of the besꦚt Badges in the game, so they’re well worth equipping regardless!

Fortunately, even if you fall in the lava, you’ll still keep the 10-Flower Coin as long as you grabbed it on the way down. It’s always a bummer to lose a life, but at least you don’t have to keep trying this jump if you managed to snag it the first time.

Fortunately, finding the Wonder Flower and Wonder Seed here shouldn’t take too much effort. You’ll come across a Rrrumba glowing purple on a downward ramp above you.

Let it fall down to your level and sto﷽mp on it. This will reveal the Wonder Flower, which transforms your character into a spiky Rrrumba.

From here, just keep rolling and barreling through the enemies in front of you. You’ll nab the Wonder Seed before you know it.

Where to find the secret exit in Where the Rrrumbas Rule

Our final secret in this leﷺvel 🌱involves locating the secret exit. This once again involves using the Drill Form, but I imagine you would expect that by now.

Shortly after you grab the second 10-Flower Coin, you’ll see a large pillar standing in front of a pit. Normally, you’d push the pillar over and fall down with it, but you might notice a tight path near the top corner of the wall. We need to dig in between there.

To pull this off, jump up towards the pipe on your left and wall-jump off. This will dig your character into the roof, which will let you enter that secret pass൩ageway.

After you slide through, you’ll find a hidden room with a pipe leading upwards. As you’d expect, you want to go into the pipe.

From here, if you still need to reach the top of the flagpole in Where the Rrrumbas Rule, wall-jump off the pillar into the wall behind you, and then again onto that platform where the coins are. Perform a running jump off that ledge, and you’ll grab the top of the secret flagpole. This will unlock a Badge challenge stage, which will net you an extra Wonder Seed if you complete it.

Congratulations on clearing🎃 Wဣhere the Rrrumbas Rule!
