Where to find Zatoh in Monster Hunter Wilds

Where could he be?

During the Beware the Gypceros, you must find Zatoh to complete the quest. Unlike most missions, he won’t have a map marker, making it challenging to pin down his location. We’re here to show you where to find Zatoh in Monster Hunter Wilds.

MH Wilds Zatoh location, explained

The NPC Zatoh can be found at the Kunafa (Windsong Village) at Windward Plains. You’ll have to walk around this village, as he frequently roams near the houses. If you can’t find Zatoh for the Beware the Gypceros quest, set the Environment to Daytime and Plenty. He tends to show up more regularly at this 🐟time, differing from the night. You must rest at one of your camps o🐈r Portable BBQ Grills to change the time of day, mandating 300 Guild Points.

If there’s an active sandstorm, you cannot speak to him during this time. Sandstorms force the residents to go into their homes, where it’s impossible to interact with them. I suggest waiting it out or resting to progress time.

Hopefully, you’ll get the chance to speak to Zatoh and provide him with the Gypercos materials. He’ll offer Sharp Kunafa Cheese and three Carbalite Ore for your efforts, adding more to your meal recipes and armor/weapo💜n upgrades. Occasionally, Zatoh will ask you to return to the village for a meal to gain powerful buffs temporarily.

The Beware the Gypceros side quest also gives you access to Kunafa’s Material Retrieval, a resource delivery system Nata will manage for you. Speak to Murtabak at the Windsong Village to collect daily Material Retrieval items. Or, interact with Nata at the Base Camp to view all regional-exclusive deliveries at the Village Intermediary. This system provides you with many Hidden Armor Set resources, which boost your performance significantly. If you need help with these materials, check out our guide on how to get Sparkly Treasure.
