This is the start of a remarkably fortunate <em>Spelunky<\/em> run.<\/p> <p>It&#8217;s a run that will, at least for the foreseeable future, remain at the top of the leaderboards. <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.twitch.tv\/bananasaurus_rex\/profile\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Bananasaurus Rex<\/a>, known as being the first person to complete a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/this-solo-eggplant-run-in-spelunky-is-a-must-watch-265459.phtml\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">solo eggplant run<\/a>, has set the new world record score: $3,105,850.<\/p> <p>This went down live on Twitch earlier today and when I tuned in at around the <em>six-hour mark<\/em>, he was only just destroying the last remaining bits of the City of Gold. If there&#8217;s one word I&#8217;d use to describe this playthrough, it&#8217;s thorough. The sheer skill of Rex shines through in his calm, collected style of play despite all of the obstacles and pressure he faced.
