One of the concepts that Bloodstained is bringing over from old school platformers (in addition to things like a boss rush) is cheat codes.
Found on Game Sack, one such code will grant you a new weapon at the start of the game by simply creating a new save file under a specific name. At the title screen hit new game then type in “8MEGAPOWER,” all caps, and you’ll get a Game Sack Power Strip item for your efforts.
It’s classified as a sword, and will be replaced by better weapons of its ilk roughly 30-45 minutes in after the tutorial area, but it’s something! Expect more cheat codes to roll out as folks discover them and the developers share them.
