It was such a novelty. In 2020, we aren&#8217;t caught off guard quite so easily <span class=\"st\">&ndash; but the game is still very much worth preserving.<\/span><\/p> <p><span class=\"st\">Yesterday, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/1194840\/Frog_Fractions_Game_of_the_Decade_Edition\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"><em>Frog Fractions: Game of the Decade Edition<\/em><\/a> popped up on Steam with a mid-to-late-2020 release in mind. The listing is understandably sparse <span class=\"st\">&ndash; the less players know going in, the better <span class=\"st\">&ndash;<\/span><\/span> but the Steam page does describe this as a remastered native executable of the &#8220;classic web game.&#8221;<\/p> <p>Will it be <em>Frog Fractions<\/em> exactly like we remember? Will it hide any obscure new surprises?<\/p> <p>Either way, this is fantastic news given that Adobe Flash&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2017\/7\/25\/16026236\/adobe-flash-end-of-support-2020\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">days are exceedingly numbered<\/a>. Twinbeard, the designer of <em>Frog Fractions<\/em>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mogwai_poet\/status\/1222269307792449537\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">cited that ongoing  concern<\/a> as &#8220;<span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-1qd0xha r-ad9z0x r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">part of the impetus for this project.&#8221;<\/span><\/p> <p><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-1qd0xha r-ad9z0x r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">So many browser-based games have vanished out of sight and mind.
