{"id":300346,"date":"2021-12-10T15:00:26","date_gmt":"2021-12-10T21:00:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/?p=300346"},"modified":"2021-12-12T05:07:09","modified_gmt":"2021-12-12T11:07:09","slug":"steelrising-trailer-game-awards-aegis-angel-of-death-nacon-spiders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/steelrising-trailer-game-awards-aegis-angel-of-death-nacon-spiders\/","title":{"rendered":"Steelrising cinematic introduces us to the sublime Aegis, The Angel of Death"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 id=\"murder-on-the-dancefloor\">Murder on the Dancefloor<\/h2> <p>As a part of last night&#8217;s Game Awards festivities, publisher Nacon offered up <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hOIrU0H9EzM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a new cinematic trailer<\/a> for its automated take on the French Revolution, <em>Steelrising<\/em>, currently in development for a summer 2022 release on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X\/S.<\/p> <p>The cinematic gives a little more backstory for the action-RPG&#8217;s protagonist, Aegis, a masterfully created and achingly beautiful automaton, whose balletic performances both entertain the ruthless and uncaring bourgeoisie and prove deadly in the field of man-on-machine combat. With King Louis XVI and his unstoppable clockwork forces rendering Paris in twain, Aegis&#8217; creator decides that the time is right to unleash his creation&#8217;s sublime, destructive abilities.<\/p> <p><\/iframe><\/p> <p>As Aegis, we will step into an alternate-history version of one of the tumultuous times in Parisian legacy, leading a rebellion against the tyranny of the rich and powerful, while cutting down their seemingly unstoppable automaton forces with devastating and ever-evolving fighting abilities. The player will adapt Aegis to their own custom ideals, fine-tuning her strength, acrobatics, stealth, melee, and weapon skills to make her the one true hope of the robotic revolution.<\/p> <p><a href=\"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/i-cant-wait-to-take-part-in-steelrisings-robot-revolution\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">I&#8217;ve been a proponent of <em>Steelrising<\/em><\/a> ever since its initial announcement <a href=\"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/steelrising-is-an-action-rpg-about-the-robot-french-revolution-from-the-greedfall-developer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">way back at E3 2020<\/a>. Each and every trailer since has further tweaked my intrigue, though the gameplay footage we <em>have<\/em> seen, admittedly, looked a tad ramshackle. Still, there are still many months to go until the action-RPG&#8217;s eventual release and I&#8217;m hoping that underdog developer Spiders and publisher Nacon can deliver an engaging experience worthy of Steelrising&#8217;s fascinating premise and stylish design.<\/p> <p><em>Steelrising<\/em> launches June 2022 on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series
