{"id":310897,"date":"2022-03-03T11:00:29","date_gmt":"2022-03-03T17:00:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/?p=310897"},"modified":"2022-03-03T14:02:00","modified_gmt":"2022-03-03T20:02:00","slug":"horizon-forbidden-west-update-106-playstation-bugs-glitches-fix","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/horizon-forbidden-west-update-106-playstation-bugs-glitches-fix\/","title":{"rendered":"Horizon Forbidden West update features a slew of tweaks and fixes"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 id=\"but-some-graphical-glitches-remain\">But some graphical glitches remain<\/h2> <p>Guerrilla Games has rolled out one of the first major post-release updates for its excellent adventure sequel <a href=\"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/reviews\/review-horizon-forbidden-west-ps5-version\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Horizon Forbidden West<\/em>.<\/a> Update 1.06 \u2014 now available on PlayStation platforms \u2014 addresses a litany of minor visual, audio, control, and gameplay issues as recorded by the <em>Horizon<\/em> community.<\/p> <p>While players would probably be better served just checking out <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/horizon\/comments\/t4x320\/horizon_forbidden_west_patch_106\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the full patch notes,<\/a> some choice cuts include a variety of fixed mission markers and objectives, fixes to sporadic crash problems, some U.I. tweaks, and a much-requested fix for the Photo Mode&#8217;s &#8220;blurring&#8221; bug. Guerrilla has also adjusted the audio\/visual fidelity of <em>Horizon<\/em>&#8216;s many cutscenes, and reduced the intensity of the screen effects when activating Aloy&#8217;s power-boosting &#8220;Valor Surges.&#8221;<\/p> <p><\/iframe><\/p> <p>One of the oddest, but definitely most welcome tweaks, affects Aloy&#8217;s dialogue. Already one of the chattiest protagonists in video game history, Aloy will no longer repeatedly remind you when her stash is full \u2014 a verbal cue that was driving players up the wall. Numerous black screen freezes have been eradicated, as have some camera issues during <em>Forbidden West<\/em>&#8216;s end credit sequences. Overall, there is a quiverful of tweaks and fixes initialized in the new update, and you can check &#8217;em all out <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/horizon\/comments\/t4x320\/horizon_forbidden_west_patch_106\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">right here.<\/a><\/p> <p>Unfortunately, Update 1.06 does not address some of the <a href=\"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/horizon-forbidden-west-update-patch-visual-bugs-glitches-ps4-ps5\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">larger graphical issues<\/a> that have been bothering some players. Guerrilla is continuing to look into concerns about shimmering, sharpness, and texture pop-in. It should be clarified that, even with these issues,<em> Horizon Forbidden West<\/em> is an absolutely stunning title, one of the most attractive adventures ever released.
