A classic entry in the\u00a0Tales\u00a0<\/em>series is getting new life on newer consoles.\u00a0Tales of Symphonia Remastered\u00a0<\/em>brings the story of Lloyd, Colette, and company to PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch in early 2023.<\/p>

Revealed during today’s Nintendo Direct,\u00a0Tales of Symphonia Remastered\u00a0<\/em>brings the GameCube-era RPG to modern systems. It will get a version on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and be playable on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S via their respective versions.<\/p>

Tales of Symphonia <\/em>originally released in 2003 and was brought over to North America in 2004. The remaster will feature both graphical enhancements and improved gameplay, though no details have been given just yet.<\/p>

Alongside a physical edition, Bandai Namco is also publishing a Chosen Edition of\u00a0Tales of Symphonia Remastered<\/em>. This will come with a special metal case, art prints, and stickers. Both editions are up for pre-order on the Bandai Namco store here<\/a>.<\/p>

Tales of Symphonia\u00a0<\/em>is a fondly remembered entry in the long-running\u00a0Tales\u00a0<\/em>series. It was likely the introduction to the series for many players, myself included. It’s definitely a lengthy role-playing game, but it has an incredible cast of characters and a really fantastic story.<\/p>

Seeing another\u00a0Tales\u00a0<\/em>game get a modern port, much like\u00a0Tales of Vesperia\u00a0<\/em>did a while back<\/a>, is great. While\u00a0Tales of Arise\u00a0<\/em>laid out a path forward<\/a> for the series, I’m excited that newcomers will have an easy way of playing\u00a0Symphonia\u00a0<\/em>too. Honestly, just keep this train rolling and dive back into some older entries while we’re at it. My fingers are now crossed that\u00a0Abyss\u00a0<\/em>is on a list somewhere at\u00a0Tales\u00a0<\/em>HQ.<\/p>
