Yeah, the Pyramid Head is very scary, but what about NPCs that, due to glitches or wacky design, become just as monstrous as the most intentionally scary monsters in gaming? <\/p>    <p>Sure, <a href=\"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/creepiest-glitches-in-video-games\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">we already covered the creepiest glitches in video games<\/a>. But for those who need even more cursed content, here&#8217;s a list just for you.<\/p>    <figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-reddit wp-block-embed-reddit\"><div   id="gqq8s83tkl"    class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"> <blockquote class=\"reddit-embed-bq\" style=\"height:500px\" ><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/gaming\/comments\/k0ybvt\/theres_something_wrong_with_the_kids_in_assassins\/\">There&#8217;s something wrong with the kids in Assassin&#8217;s Creed Valhalla<\/a><br> by<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/user\/KrutToppen\/\">u\/KrutToppen<\/a> in<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/gaming\/\">gaming<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/embed.reddit.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"UTF-8\"><\/script> <\/div><\/figure>    <h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"kids-in-assassins-creed-valhalla\">Kids in Assassin\u2019s Creed Valhalla<\/h2>    <p>\u200cIn previous <em>Assassin&#8217;s Creed <\/em>games, Ubisoft generally modeled regular-looking kids. But in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/reviews\/review-assassins-creed-valhalla\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Assassin&#8217;s Creed Valhalla<\/a><\/em>, the company managed to come up with a bunch of monstrosities when it came to portraying Viking children.<\/p>    <p>Did the devs have a huge bone to pick with Scandinavians? At best, these NPCs only look okay. Most look extremely scary.<\/p>    <p>And that&#8217;s not even the glitch. That&#8217;s the feature. The glitch is one that makes these kids <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/massive-children-plaguing-assassins-creed-valhalla-terrifying-glitch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">grow as large as adults.<\/a><\/p>    <figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div   id="gqq8s83tkl"    class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"> <\/iframe> <\/div><\/figure>    <h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"babies-in-bioshock-infinite\">Babies in Bioshock Infinite<\/h2>    <p>\u200cEerie children have been a staple of horror movies for the longest time, so it&#8217;s no surprise that video games would eventually follow that trend. Granted, the world of <em><a href=\"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/reviews\/review-bioshock-infinite\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bioshock Infinite<\/a><\/em> is weird. But it never gets worse than when you look at some of its babies.<\/p>    <p>\u200cWhat the hell is that? Why does the game have some normal babies in it, and then some have the bodies of children but the heads and faces of adult men? Is this a side effect of taking plasmids during pregnancy? That could&#8217;ve made for such a great side plot.<\/p>    <figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div   id="gqq8s83tkl"    class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"> <\/iframe> <\/div><\/figure>    <h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-super-human-drone-controller-in-the-division-2\">The super-human drone controller in The Division 2<\/h2>    <p><a href=\"https:\/\/kotaku.com\/the-poor-life-of-the-division-2s-drone-controller-1833840329\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Upon release<\/a>, the drone controller NPC in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/reviews\/review-the-division-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Division 2<\/a><\/em> was just something else. She was just too good, like, impossibly good. Please see if you notice anything strange about her mannerisms in the clip above. Imagine being a poor criminal or rebel and knowing that&#8217;s what you&#8217;re up against.<\/p>    <p>\u200cI&#8217;m not keen on drone warfare in real life, so I actually enjoy Ubisoft&#8217;s accidental attempt at making it look gross and weird in games.<\/p>    <figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div   id="gqq8s83tkl"    class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"> <\/iframe> <\/div><\/figure>    <h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-mannequins-in-skyrim-are-straight-out-of-a-horror-movie\">The mannequins in Skyrim are straight out of a horror movie<\/h2>    <p>\u200cIf you look closely at the mannequins in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/reviews\/review-the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Skyrim<\/a><\/em>, you might notice that they look back at you. In fact, they never stop following you with their unseeing eyes.<\/p>    <p>That&#8217;s because those goddamn mannequins aren\u2019t objects, they&#8217;re secret NPCs. Sometimes you gotta make some shortcuts when you&#8217;re developing a game, but some shortcuts will do more harm than good. This is <strong>not <\/strong>one of those cases, because I absolutely love these cursed monstrosities.<\/p>    <figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div   id="gqq8s83tkl"    class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"> <\/iframe> <\/div><\/figure>    <h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-soldiers-wives-in-medal-of-honor-warfighter\">The soldiers\u2019 wives in Medal Of Honor Warfighter<\/h2>    <p>\u200cRemember <em>Medal Of Honor<\/em>? That series met its demise after the launch of <a href=\"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/reviews\/review-medal-of-honor-warfighter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Medal Of Honor<\/em> <em>Warfighter<\/em><\/a>, a big-budget game that came out in 2012 with NPCs that look straight out of the early 00&#8217;s.<\/p>    <p>The male models don\u2019t look great, but they have one thing going for them: short hair. Their wives, on the other hand, have both really weird faces and hair animations. Also, how old are they? They manage to look both 30 and 60 at the same time. <\/p>    <p>The cutscene looks like an attempt to make one of those creepy AI-made deepfakes long before that was a thing.<\/p>    <figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div   id="gqq8s83tkl"    class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"> <\/iframe> <\/div><\/figure>    <h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"stalker-watson-in-sherlock-holmes-nemesis\">Stalker Watson in Sherlock Holmes Nemesis<\/h2>    <p>Watson in <em>Sherlock Holmes Nemesis<\/em> is always following players around, and teleporting behind their backs when they let him out of sight. It&#8217;s a good thing that this man loves Holmes. Otherwise, there&#8217;d be serious cause for concern. <\/p>    <p>This odd feature grew into such a classic that the devs behind the vastly superior <em>Sherlock Holmes: Crimes &amp; Punishments<\/em> made an in-engine <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=k0T1KjIyhqg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">short film starring Sherlock Holmes&#8217; creepiest friend.<\/a><\/p>    <figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div   id="gqq8s83tkl"    class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"> <blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Hey, what do u thing about this guy? In the LATAM community we are talking about this guy are in all sessions and it&#39;s very creepy. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/LqreXCQict\">pic.twitter.com\/LqreXCQict<\/a><\/p>&mdash; \u27b3\u2130\ud835\udced\ud835\udcf2\ud835\udcfd\ud835\udcf1 (@xedithmp) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/xedithmp\/status\/1293093710876598272?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 11, 2020<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script> <\/div><\/figure>    <h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"red-dead-redemption-2s-bald-man\">Red Dead Redemption 2\u2019s Bald Man<\/h2>    <p>\u200cThe Bald Man is a weird NPC that has appeared for many <em><a href=\"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/reviews\/review-red-dead-redemption-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Red Dead Redemption 2<\/a><\/em> players seemingly just to haunt them. Nobody knows why he\u2019s there or how he showed up. He&#8217;s become the <a href=\"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/best-kid-friendly-scary-games\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Slenderman<\/a> of the <em>RDR2<\/em> community.<\/p>    <p>The only thing we know about the Bald Man is that sometimes he&#8217;s floating, and sometimes he shows up in a see-through manner, just like a ghost. I don&#8217;t really know anything about him, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamesn.com\/red-dead-redemption-2\/online-broken-bald-npc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">as nobody does<\/a>, but I recommend that you don&#8217;t engage with him in a shootout. We know how well <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=oNg7VPR5uF4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">shooting supernatural entities turned out for John Marston.<\/a><\/p>    <figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-imgur wp-block-embed-imgur\"><div   id="gqq8s83tkl"    class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"> <blockquote class=\"imgur-embed-pub\" lang=\"en\" data-id=\"CEtrv3f\"><a href=\"https:\/\/imgur.com\/CEtrv3f\">A hanged man alive and very quiet on AC Unity.<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"\/\/s.imgur.com\/min\/embed.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script> <\/div><\/figure>    <h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-this-poor-man-from-assassin-s-creed-unity-who-is-is-immune-to-hanging\">This poor man from Assassin\u2019s Creed Unity who is is immune to hanging<\/h2>    <p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/reviews\/review-assassins-creed-unity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Assassin&#8217;s Creed Unity<\/a> <\/em>caught a lot of heat upon release due to the presence of a variety of obvious glitches, but I believe that more discrete glitches make for better horror.<\/p>    <p>What you see above is not an NPC that you&#8217;ll learn later was faking his death. That&#8217;s supposedly a very hanged, very dead, man.
