Other than offering the ability to enable 60fps, it wasn&#8217;t really much to write home about. What fans <em>actually<\/em> want is for Rockstar to release the 14-year-old game onto PC. So far nothing, but it could be happening soon.<\/p>    <p>That&#8217;s according to Tez2, a user who, by their own definition, monitors the gaming world, &#8220;mostly regarding Rockstar Games titles.&#8221; Their latest datamine strongly suggests that <em>Red Dead Redemption<\/em> could finally be coming to the PC.<\/p>    <figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div   id="gqq8s83tkl"    class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"> <blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">It looks like Rockstar is gearing up to release <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/RDR1?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#RDR1<\/a> on PC. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/2xMmpFIdCk\">pic.twitter.com\/2xMmpFIdCk<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Tez2 (@TezFunz2) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TezFunz2\/status\/1790031522315026508?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 13, 2024<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script> <\/div><\/figure>    <p>The image uploaded with the Twitter\/X post shows some text that simply reads: &#8220;Journey across the sprawling expanses of the American West and Mexico in <em>Red Dead Redemption<\/em>, and its zombie-horror companion, <em>Undead Nightmare<\/em>, now playable on PC.&#8221;<\/p>    <h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-do-we-need-any-more-hints\">Do we need any more hints?<\/h2>    <p>Suffice it to say, what Tez2 has unearthed, which they say was lifted from the Rockstar launcher, pretty much spells it out in black-and-white. Or orange, in this case. If what we see is based on truth, then <em>RDR<\/em> might actually make it to PC at some point.<\/p>    <p>To ensure I tick the &#8220;journalistic due diligence&#8221; box (for such a thing exists&#8230;I imagine), it needs to be said that this is only speculation at this stage. However convincing the leak is, we can&#8217;t make any concrete claims about a PC port until Rockstar or any other official representative of the game can confirm or deny this information.<\/p>    <p>Even if it does happen, it&#8217;s unclear whether it&#8217;ll even be a remaster of the 2010 release. There have been upscaled versions of <em>RDR<\/em> for console in the past, but as the PS5 and Switch releases have shown, chances are it could just be a straight port. We&#8217;ll have to wait and see what Rockstar has in store.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Better later than never,
