The <a href=\"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/tomb-raider-remastered-i-iii-is-a-nostalgic-walk-through-the-croft-museum\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">remastered collection of the first three games<\/a> was admittedly welcome, as was <a href=\"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/here-are-your-june-playstation-plus-monthly-games\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the addition to <em>Tomb Raider Legend<\/em> on PlayStation Plus<\/a>. And now Lara Croft is set to appear as the newest crossover character in <em>Dead by Daylight<\/em>.<\/p>    <p>This news had leaked beforehand, but developer Behaviour Interactive has since formally confirmed Lara&#8217;s inclusion on <a href=\"https:\/\/deadbydaylight.com\/news\/lara-croft-in-dead-by-daylight-tomb-raider\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">its website<\/a>. Unsurprisingly, her appearance is based on how she looked in the <a href=\"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/reviews\/review-tomb-raider\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2013 <em>Tomb Raider<\/em> reboot<\/a>. With her now at the mercy of <em>Dead by Daylight<\/em>&#8216;s various serial killers, I kind of hope the next game is just her chilling on a nice beach somewhere. She could do with a break.<\/p>    <p>Lara will become playable on July 26, but anyone with access to the public test build on Steam can try her out right now. As such, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/deadbydaylight\/comments\/1do8343\/810_ptb\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">the most recent patch notes on Reddit<\/a> have broken down what her perks are. One such perk lets her vault much faster than normal when active, and she can gain special tokens from opening chests that can then be used to reduce the maximum required generator progress.<\/p>    <p>This is a neat crossover and all, but I&#8217;m far more intrigued in whatever Crystal Dynamics is working on. There&#8217;s very little official info on the next <em>Tomb Raider<\/em> game, though <a href=\"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/tomb-raider-crystal-dynamics-amazon-games-publishing-deal-embracer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Amazon will help in publishing it<\/a>. Unfortunately, Crystal Dynamics was among the many studios under Embracer Group to be <a href=\"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/crystal-dynamics-cuts-staff-as-embracer-group-studio-layoffs-continue\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hit with layoffs<\/a>, which may have hampered development somewhat. The studio&#8217;s also busy assisting with Microsoft&#8217;s <em>Perfect Dark<\/em> reboot, which finally saw a proper trailer during the <a href=\"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/everything-shown-at-the-xbox-games-showcase-2024\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">latest Xbox
