As the <em>Borderlands <\/em>movie reportedly stinks up theaters, a &#8220;new mainline title&#8221; has been teased by Pitchford during an <a href=\"https:\/\/store.epicgames.com\/en-US\/news\/borderlands-movie-video-games-brothers-in-arms-wonderland-gearbox\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Epic Games<\/a> interview published Thursday. <\/p>    <p>When asked if Gearbox is working on the next &#8220;mainline&#8221; game in the <em>Borderlands <\/em>series, Pitchford replied: &#8220;Of course we are.\u201d <\/p>    <p>That&#8217;s not it, either. While discussing the new <em>Borderlands <\/em>movie that is available in theatres this weekend, Pitchford teased to Epic Games that multiple projects are in development, thanks to a &#8220;leadership cluster,&#8221; which &#8220;drives a project from cradle to grave.&#8221; <\/p><\/iframe>    <p>\u201cWith this approach, we\u2019re able to spin up multiple things, including a new\u00a0<em>Brothers in Arms<\/em>\u00a0game, which has been in development for a while\u2014but we\u2019re not yet ready to talk about it,&#8221; said Pitchford. Perhaps, we could see this project announced during The Game Awards this year. The <em>Brothers in Arms<\/em><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/span>series had a <a href=\"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/gearbox-is-turning-brothers-in-arms-into-a-tv-show\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TV show in the works<\/a> in 2020 as well, and there <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/a-new-brothers-in-arms-game-is-in-development-confirms-gearbox-ceo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">have been mentions of a new entry in the series<\/a> over the years.<\/p>    <p><em>Duke Nukem <\/em>is also referenced during the interview. &#8220;We\u2019re working on every IP.
