Even after ten years, GTA 5 is still one of the biggest releases in modern gaming. With almost 160,000 people logged into the game on PC in the past 24 hours, it’s no wonder it’s one of the most played releases on Steam. But there’s been one thing missing all this time, until now.

As noted in a recent report from Insider Gaming‘s Tom Henderson, it looks as though Rockstar has finally added anti-cheat software to GTA 5. More than nine years after releasing (bearing in mind the console versions came out in 2013), the hit Grand Theft Auto installment comes packed with BattlEye, at least on the PC version.

9 years after release, Rockstar added a 3rd-party anti-cheat to #GTAV on PC.

GTAV PC now has BattlEye.
