Playing against your friends or with them in co-op on the couch is a memory many cherish and would like to resume in 2024 and beyond. <\/p>    <h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-is-call-of-duty-black-ops-6-split-screen-capable-with-friends\">Is Call of Duty Black Ops 6 split-screen-capable with friends?<\/h2>    <p>Thankfully, you can play both the zombies mode and multiplayer with split-screen functionality. There&#8217;s a catch, however. <strong>PS4, Xbox One, and PC <em>Call of Duty Black Ops 6 <\/em>players can&#8217;t use split-screen<\/strong> and are only able to play with one player at all times. Only those on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S can play a round of Team Deathmatch with a mate on the couch with split-screen. Simply connect the second controller and have them press A or the cross button at the lobby. <\/p><\/iframe>    <figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Call-of-Duty-Black-Ops-6-has-splitscreen.jpg?resize=640%2C360\" alt=\"Call of Duty Black Ops 6 has splitscreen\" class=\"wp-image-632223\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Call-of-Duty-Black-Ops-6-has-splitscreen.jpg?w=1200 1200w, https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Call-of-Duty-Black-Ops-6-has-splitscreen.jpg?w=300 300w, https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Call-of-Duty-Black-Ops-6-has-splitscreen.jpg?w=768 768w, https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Call-of-Duty-Black-Ops-6-has-splitscreen.jpg?w=1024 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Screenshot by Destructoid<\/figcaption><\/figure>    <p>The positive is that the split-screen covers the entire screen with no cut-off sections. It&#8217;s fully 16:9. It doesn&#8217;t seem like you can play competitively against each other, however. I&#8217;ve tried to start a local multiplayer match under the &#8220;Private Match&#8221; mode and it didn&#8217;t connect a second controller.<\/p>    <h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-does-call-of-duty-black-ops-6-need-to-connect-online\">Does Call of Duty Black Ops 6 need to connect online?<\/h2>    <p>Unfortunately, you&#8217;ll need to always be online while playing <em>Call of Duty Black Ops 6<\/em>, even for the single-player campaign. This means that LAN has become obsolete. At least, some form of <em>Black Ops 6 <\/em>local multiplayer is supported through split-screen.<\/p>    <h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-do-you-need-a-playstation-plus-or-xbox-game-pass-to-play-call-of-duty-black-ops-6-online\">Do you need a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass to play Call of Duty Black Ops 6 online?<\/h2>    <p>If you&#8217;re playing the game on PS4 and PS5, you&#8217;ll need at least <a href=\"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/playstation-plus-12-month-prices-are-increasing-for-all-tiers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PlayStation Plus Essential<\/a> to access <em>Call of Duty Black Ops 6<\/em>&#8216;s multiplayer matchmaking. This is the same with Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S users with Xbox Game Pass Core and up. Thankfully, both of these services come with free games each month. November 2024, for example, has <em><a href=\"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/reviews\/review-ghostwire-tokyo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ghostwire Tokyo<\/a> <\/em>and <em><a href=\"https:\/\/jbsgame.com\/hot-wheels-unleashed-2-turbocharged-announced-for-october-19\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hot Wheels Unleashed 2<\/a><\/em> included with your
