Keeping your parties at maximum efficiency isn’t always easy, and with lots of characters to pick from in Wuthering Waves, you may want to have a little 🌼advice on wheꦫre the real power lies.
Now, tier lists are not easy, so feel free to read through the multiple disclaimers I always put on advice like this before you get to the meat of the article. I’ll break the characters into three main battlefield roles and let you know where I think they lie in the pantheon of power in Wuthering Waves.
Wuthering Waves character tier list
Okay, let’s get down to it. Tier Lists are hard because characters have more nuance than just their primary function. Oftentimes, it is combinations of characters that will really take each other to the next level, or perhaps items or weapons can give them a new lease on life. For simplicity’s sake, this Tier List is judging the character kits alone.
We will be doing individual guides for the characters that detail weapons to use, Echoes to use, and team comps to really take advantage of them, but that is way too complicated to take into account here. So🐓, this is really just about the basic kit for each character rather than their p🐻otential upper limit if you get perfect weapons.
The final thing to note is that a lot can change at launch. Some characters will be getting buffs or kit changes, so we will take that into account when we come back t🦂o this for an update. There is also a degree of theory crafting involved in these lists, so they will constantly be updated as we explore more of the game or discover some exciting nuance of a character.
Ultimately, I advise you to treat this Tier List as it is intended, which is as a rough benchmark of a character’s power within their role only. I’ve limited each character to one role. I’m aware this is not the approach many folks take, but I tend to assume people are looking at these lists to decide where to invest their resources. If you are considering Yinlin as a main DPS, and she is not on that list, it is because I do not think she is a good option compared to other potential characters. The character I have broken this rule for is Rover, as everyone will have them and be trying to build their team around them, one way or the other.
