There are a lot of Rupees to be found all around Hyrule, and many of them will come to you entirely passively. However, when it comes to high-cost items like accessories, or especially the final upgrade with the Great Fairy to allow five accessories, it can be hard to grind𝕴 away for money to spend.𓆏

Complete side quests and minigames that give Rupees as a reward

There are a total of five side quests that give Rupees as their r𝄹eward. While it won’t make you rich, they’re worth doing i🦄f you’re in a monetary pinch:

Acorn Gathering is the best minigame in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom if you’re tꦰrying to stock up on Rupees, as you’l꧑l get a guaranteed 20 Rupees each time you find all the acorns within 60 seconds. There are also secondary Rupee prizes available for fast clears.

There are a couple of challenges at the Slumber Dojo which also reward Rupees:

Completing the Long Course at the Flag Race will also reward y💃ou with 50 Rupees the first tiꦛme you clear it.

Use a Crow Echo or Goldfinch Automaton

While most Echoes or Automatons don’t come with additional effects for Zelda (outside of causing damage or traversing Hyrule, of course), the Crow Echo and Goldfinch Automaton come with a pretty useful bonus — extra Rupees🎐.

While killing any monster in the wild has a chance to drop Rupees, any enemy killed with a Crow or Goldfinch will drop additional Rupees, making these two very useful if you’re trying 💧to grind for funds. The increase when using the Crow Echo is smaller than the one given when using the Goldfinch Automaton, but both are worth employing while exploring.

Explore thoroughly and don’t pull your punches

Wherever you go in Hyrule, make sure to keep an eye out for𝔉 weakened wall sections or cave entrances. You’re likely to find a store of Rupees inside chests within the new area, and there will be enemies to kill who can also drop Rupees.&nbꦚsp;

While exploring, make sure to spin th🎃rough tall grass and break all boxes or pots that you see. There’s a high chance that you’ll get a few Rupees from the grass, and you’ll get some ingredients out of the pots, which can be sold for more Rupees.&nꦕbsp;

Regardless of where you’re venturing, take out every enemy you see. This can be time-consuming, especially🌳 if you’re taking on more difficult enemies, but there’s a high chance that each enemy will drop at least one green Rupee. Be aware of the type of Echoes you use against each enemy, and embrace the elements to make battles easier.

Smoothies are a goldmine

If you’re stocked up on ingredients, you can earn a few Rupees by selling them outright, but you’re better off making Smoothies out of them. Either way, items cap at 99, so if you’re approaching this point, you𓂃’ll need to make use of the items or risk losing out on additional ones that🧸 drop.

Each Smoothie costs 10 Rupees, but with each Smoothie (outside of Unfortunate Smoothies) selling for more than they cost to make, you’re guaranteed to make some profit. Some recipes are more profitable than others, with any Smoothie containing Tough ꦰMangos or Golden Eggs coming out on ▨top, selling for 50 or 75 Rupees, respectively.

However, these are both rare ingredients, and it is absolutely not recommended that you sell your Golden Eggs or Smoothies made with them, while Mangos are 𝓡best used to make S🌊moothies, which reduce the damage you take.

If you ♌want to hold onto your Mangos and Gol🐬den Eggs but still want to make a quick buck, here are the best Smoothies to make and sell for profit, selling for 45 Rupees each:

  • Milky Sweet Smoothie
  • Pumpkin Bubble Smoothie
  • Milky Bubble Smoothie
  • Milky Rapid Smoothie
  • Milky Climbing Smoothie
  • Milky Radiant Smoothie
  • Mixed Twisty Smoothie
  • Sweet Twisty Smoothie
  • Milky Twisty Smoothie

Make the most of accessories

Tﷺhere are four accessoriesဣ that can be used to boost your income, although they work in different ways.

The Silver or Gold Brooch will outright increase the chances of Rupees dropping from defeated enemies or when spinning through long grass. They’re a good choice if you want to almost passively generate some money as you explore. The Silver Brooch can be found in a treasure chest west ༒of the Riv𝔍er Zora Waypoint, while the Gold Brooch is obtained by completing the “Secret Chief Talks” side quest in Zora Cove.

Alternatively, you can increase the drop rate of different ingredients used in Smoothies by equipping the Survey Scope or 🍸Binoculars.𒁏 These can be obtained by completing the two different “Recipes, Please!” side quests.
